The George boys had a fabulous trip to Colorado. We toured Colorado Springs first. We went to the Manitou Cliff Dwellings, the Pikes Peak Cog Railway, Garden of the Gods, and the Mollie Kathleen Goldmine in Cripple Creek. We ate some yummy food and drank some awesome beers! We then traveled to Estes Park. We met up with Matt's cousins there. We rode horses, hiked in Rocky Mountain National Park, road the Estes Park Aerial Tram to feed chipmunks, and swam at our awesome resort. Finally, we traveled to Denver for Daddy's cousin's wedding. It was an amazing trip and we will always have some great memories!

Busy Boys!
Our summer started off crazy busy! The big boys got their green belts for karate, they all 3 had baseball teams, we had swimming lessons with our best buddies, and all 3 did Vacation Bible School at Church. It was a great month of June, but definitely looking forward to a calmer July!
B is 9!
Wow! My big boy is 9! And he is such a trooper. We had scheduled to have his birthday party on his actual birthday, but when his Grandpa had last minute surgery and we had to drive to Iowa to see him, we had to reschedule his bash for the following week. We still had a great time. We had all of the neighbors over for ice cream, cupcakes, and baseball. We had strawberry limeade cupcakes and every kid went home with sunflower seeds, cracker jacks, and gummy hot dogs! Fun! Fun!

Spring Break 2014
This past week was Spring Break 2014. We started off the week with a fun play date and St. Patty's day fun at Ms. Megan's. On Tuesday, C had a 1st grade party and had about 7 friends over to play. Tuesday night, we picked up Gma and Gpa Huber from the airport. We had a BLAST with them on our staycation. We started off with ice cream at Sheridan's, of course! On Wednesday, we went on a great walk to find some gnome houses on a secret trail. We did indeed find them! We had an incredible dinner at food network star Aaron Sanchez's restaurant Mestizo! Yummy! His margarita was almost as good as Bobby Flay's! On Thursday, we had a picnic, went spice shopping, had some awesome coffee, and some good eats at a bakery. We also rode bikes and went for a walk at the park. It was a BEAUTIFUL day! On Friday, we headed on a marble tour factory. It was so cool! The boys got lots of old time toys...a chineese jump rope, a magic 8 ball, a Jacob's ladder, and a magnet mustache thing. So fun! Mom and I got to do some shopping and of course, Gpa needed more ice cream! On Saturday, we had to say goodbye, but the boys had fun driving up to the airport. Our last day of fun involved a trip to the airport down south. We had a really fun breakfast with GIANT pancakes. C and A had airplane shaped pancakes. B ate an entire plate of french toast and a sausage. What a piggy! Matt's pancakes were as big as his face!
March Madness
B has been so excited for March Madness. He has been asking me about since March 1st. All of the boys filled out their brackets. B was broken hearted last year when Iowa State didn't make it past the 2nd round, so this year he played it safe and had them losing in the championship. C couldn't decided between 2 Iowa teams, so he has them squaring off in the National Championship. Good boy chose the right team to win!:) A did a little mascot challenge. He picks the cuddliest mascot to win each game!:) So far, all of the boys have made pretty good choices!
Happy Green Packers day or whatever today is called!
St. Patrick's Day 2014 was so much fun. We started the morning with Lucky Charms, of course. After breakfast, we noticed that leprechauns had left us a scavenger hunt. So, the boys followed their clues all through the house. The 3 little leprechauns had left us a treasure full of gold (rolos) in the fridge! Awesome! After the hunt, we headed to Ms. Megan's for some green science fun. The boys did all kinds of science experiments, including trying to grow grass hair in milk cartons. Super cool. For lunch, we had green milk and made our own green pistachio pudding with treasures in it. For dinner, we had corn been and cabbage and Irish car bomb cupcakes for dessert. YUMMY!
For I. For S. For U.
We had so much fun this year rooting on our beloved ISU cyclones. We were very lucky to head down to power and light to watch them. On Friday night, Matt and I headed down for some dinner and a game watch outside. Our good friends, the Frigons, joined us. It was beautiful weather and ISU WON!
The next night, Matt headed down with his buddies to watch the games at the bar. I was lucky enough to score some tix and invited Matt's aunt Lisa to go with me. She brought over her daughter to baby-sit. It was a blast!! We were very surprised and excited when ISU won the Big 12 Tourney Championship!! I may have creeped on Naz Long after the game! I got to see my best friend from elementary school after the game. It was an awesome night!
