We were so glad to have Gma and Gpa H and the Jansen clan join us for Thanksgiving yet again. It was a busy week of eating, shopping, game playing and just having fun. Sadly, the Saturday night before started with an oven fire and a destroyed oven! We were so glad to have good friends let us borrow their roasters that helped us save Thanksgiving! Aunt JoJo arranged a turkey trot for us 1st thing Thanksgiving morning. All of the boys did awesome! B and C shared the wishbone and had a near perfect split. Cousin Jenna led the boys on LOTS of crafts. We all enjoyed an awesome light show at the Overland Park arboretum and we had so much fun at our dinner at the Japanese steak house. My favorite part is the fun Indian and pilgrim hats the boys make at school!

C's 1st grade program
C had a few lines in his 1st grade music program. He nailed them and got quite a few laughs from the crowd! He had a hard time deciding just which bug he wanted to be, but finally decided upon a horsefly!
Halloween 2013
We had lots of events to celebrate Halloween this fall. There was LOTS of pumpkin decorating, a chili cook off, a pumpkin carving party, a karate party, a pumpkin patch adventure, and of course the big day of trick or treating with my ninja, darth vader, and transformer!
Football!
The Spring Hill Broncos had a really awesome season this year, so the boys and I went to few games. It was so much fun to watch them have some success! And the big boys took turns trying on the Homecoming King crown!
Mr. A is FOUR!
We had a really busy month in September, so trying to find time to celebrate A's number 4 was tough! We finally had a just a few of our local family members to come over and celebrate the big boy, Star Wars style! His favorite gift was his new glow bet from 'grandfather' Mark and Aunt Peggy!
Back to School 2013
The middle of August brought back to school for all of us. I think we were all pretty ready to go. B started 3rd grade. C was off to 1st grade and A was ready for another year of preK!

More Summer 2013
Summer is wrapping up as I will be heading back to work tomorrow. Here is one last post about what we have been up to. My camera has been acting up, so I don't have a lot of great pictures to show for our adventures, but here are a few from the zoo. The boys loved all of the animals and the fun times with dear friends.
We have also been to the Sea Life aquarium, the movie Smurfs 2 and Monsters University. We have spent countless hours at the pool. We took a fun scout trip to the observatory. We watched our first drive-in movie, Turbo. B enjoyed golf lessons. B and C both started piano this summer as well. They are catching on very quickly, but HATE practicing! B and C continued with karate and will be testing for their blue belt in a few weeks. We have done so many crafts. We have made bird food ornaments, water color creations, homemade fruit snacks, science kit experiments, edible play-dough, and are working on recycled crayons. C and B earned their 'Year of Faith' badge. We have had so much fun on playdates with our friends...we loved the breakfast play date, pool playdates, park play dates, and movie playdates. We are sad to see our summer end, but very thankful for the time to rest, relax and do all of the things we don't normally get to do!
