Playground in January?

We have been so lucky to have gorgeous weather the last few weeks. It hasn't even snowed yet and it is January! The boys and I took Cyler to the dog park yesterday and enjoyed the playground afterwards.

Our Rockin' New Years Eve

New Year's was supposed to be celebrated with our very good friends, but trouble hit when C started puking the night before. We decided not to infect the rest of the nation, so we stayed home. We crafted, popped balloons every hour, made homemade pizza, drank ice cream drinks, and little Mr. crashed at 7:30pm. We were awakened a few hours after midnight be B puking! Gotta love the flu bug!

Send me back to work...I can't stop cooking!

So far this break I have made a million different little goodies for my buddies. These are a few of my favorites. First, the BEST crispy cinnamon waffles with homemade whipped cream. For reals...the best waffles I have ever eaten! Next, these were supposed to be for NYE--before throw up fest began! These are pepperiment oreo covered brownies. AWESOME! And finally, I made these for my in laws for Christmas Eve breakfast...make your own fritattas. They turned out darn delicious and even C ate them!

Christmas Break Fun

The boys have had a blast on their Christmas break. We have been doing lots of crafts...finger painting, shrinky dinks, cutting and pasting, etc. We have also been doing lots of eating out and today after the dentist, we went to Chipwrecked. It was so cute and the boys had a blast! Today we are relaxing and watching the Cyclones. Unfortunately they are losing and C just puked, so the fun is going to be on hold for a bit!:-(

Dubuque Fun!

We had so much fun in Dubuque. It is always hard to leave. This year my wonderful parents arranged for us to see our childhood home. I dream about that place all of the time, so it was awesome to be able to see it. We also took a trip down memory lane and visited my elementary school and walked up the dreaded ramp with my brother, sister, and Dad. My siblings bullied me up it...somethings never change. Lots of fun memories and new ones were made, too. I took my favorite nieces and nephews to Starbucks when we got back home. That is always a treat for me! Kinda crazy that three of them could have acually driven me this year!
