Turkey Day 2016

Thanksgiving brought the Jansens back to KC. We enjoyed cranberry apple cider and yogurt parfaits for breakfast. While we waited for the turkey to cook, we made blessing bags for the KC homeless and thankful turkeys. Daddy carved the turkey boys loved the wishbone. On Black Friday, we visited Red Crow Brewery for lunch.

Labor Day 2016

On Labor Day, we headed to Dubuque to see Grandpa's headstone at the cemetery. It was very beautiful and the boys enjoyed the history. We then went on a walk near the Mississippi River and enjoyed some wine at Stone Cliff Winery. On our way back to KC, we surprised the boys with a trip to Field of Dreams!

Arkansas Vacation!

We took a quick trip to Arkansas this summer. We stopped first in Springdale to watch the Naturals play a baseball game. The boys loved watching the Royals AA affilate play. We also stopped for a pit stop in Fayetteville, the home of the Arkansas Razorbacks. Our final destination was Hot Springs. We took a duck tour, enjoyed a fun brewery, cupcakes from a Food Network Cupcake winning shop, and of course...we mined for diamonds!!!

Fireworks!

This year for the 4th of July, we made LOTS of red, white and blue treats! We enjoyed some time with our neighbors, church friends, and saw some awesome fireworks!

Baseball is LIFE!

The George boys played baseball April through July! We had some pretty fun seasons! A tried coach pitch. He loved being on a team and tried every position. C played another season of kid pitch. He played 1st base, pitcher and right field. He is turning into being quite a hitter. His team struggled to get W's throughout the season, but ended the tournament with a championship! B found his niche as a catcher. He is also quite a hitter. His team, coached by Daddy, had a pretty good run in their end of the season tourney too!
